The Lucid Protocol – Standards based modern telemetry

In 2016 the WITS-PSA began development of a complimentary protocol for telemetry.  The protocol was to be simpler to develop for and test, built using modern industry standards.  The protocol would focus on large installations of smaller devices that were not normally online/connected.  The protocol would incorporate industry standard security mechanisms, ensuring compatibility with stringent national and international critical infrastructure requirements.  The protocol was also to be easily extendable allowing systems to be fully plug and play.
