NI Water Telemetry provides monitoring (and in some cases control) of approximately 4,500 clean and wastewater assets. Telemetry not only provides alarm annunciation, local monitoring and control but also provides regulatory and operational data. We are pleased to announce that the Grundfos CIU 531 has achieved Self-Certified WITS DNP3 status.

The device has been tested by Grundfos to the WITS Test specification up to WITS Version 1.1.

The CIU 531 is a basic WITS-DNP3 supported IO device. It supports 3 Analog Input, 1 Analog Output, 4 Binary Input, 1 Binary Output and 1 Binary Counter.

Lots of very detailed discussions, scanning logs, sharing of information and ideas but most importantly: Testing!  By the end of the day we will have improved the quality and reliability of the WITS-DNP3 protocol and learned a great deal about each other’s systems and products.
