26 attending engineers, 9 Field Device manufacturers and 2 Master-Station developers.

Lots of very detailed discussions, scanning logs, sharing of information and ideas but most importantly: Testing!  By the end of the day we will have improved the quality and reliability of the WITS-DNP3 protocol and learned a great deal about each other’s systems and products.

An overview of WITS-DNP3 Master Station Licensing for End Users and Vendors – V1.0 April 17

A technical group nominated by the WITS PSA has made great progress on the design of WITS-IOT. At the WITS Expo last year we explained the need for WITS-IOT and how we were building it on top of established IOT technologies such as MQTT. Earlier this year the Committee announced that testing has to be done using the WITS Test Specification when applying for Verification or Self-Certification of vendor devices.

Applicants should note that the Test Specification instructs the tester to present their test results by completing the tables in the WITS Test Specification itself.
