Vendors may wish to make amendments/enhancements to their WITS certified products post certification. It is recognised that we need to provide a method for vendors to update their certification details and these changes need to be noted in the Device Catalogue without necessarily going through a full re-certification.

It has been observed that several Field Device vendors have misinterpreted the Application Notes regarding the use of Incremental Configuration to configure a Field Device with a mix of static limit thresholds and profiles on analogue and counter points. Technical Bulletin 51 clarifies this issue and contains amendments to the Test Specification to check for incorrect behaviour.

September 2014 – ABB AquaMaster 3 Achieves Verified Status

ABB’s AquaMaster 3 Flow Meter was already WITS Self Certified since June this year. Now ABB have gone one step further and, in conjunction with Schneider Electric and Servelec, have achieved full verification.

The defined verification procedure was followed – see “How to achieve self certified and verified status” for further details.

The device now appears in the Verified Field Devices section of the Device Catalogue.
